And I love helping others feel the same way. So, with being a box owner and coach I can combine all these things! My favorite movement? Deadlifts!

Besides my mobility, I wasn’t born with a lot of athletic talent. Until around 8 years ago, the term “workout” wasn’t even in my vocabulary. Fortunately, the CrossFit bug got me sooner or later and now I am more than happy to share my passion for CrossFit with newbies as well as experienced CrossFitters.

The passion for sport and competition is part of the family; so I started international competition sailing at the age of 10. Sport or rather CrossFit fascinates me not only because of my physical fitness, but also because of the many additional positive aspects: the psychological balance, the bond with others and the possibility to become a better self.

After playing many different sports like tennis, rugby and doing gymnastics, CrossFit arrived to my life. I fell in love with the new challenges and the community that comes with it. I always wanted to motivate others to be the best they can be, and now doing it through CrossFit. Favorites are handstand-walk and deadlifts. My motto is: Keep smiling, good things take time.

CrossFit changed my life in 2014 and the thing I love most about it, are all the stories behind every athlete, coach and owner. Mine? I played competitive Badminton for many years, used to run long distances and played more or less serious Golf. Intensity, focus, coordination and a lot of passion for sport and nutrition – that's also what I bring to Crossfit Limmatstadt!

Pretty much all of my life I was convinced that I was born as "unathletic couch potato" and this thing called sport just wasn’t for me. Today, I’m stronger than ever – not only physically but especially mentally. To me the community spirit and its support make CrossFit so unique and are exactly what I want to give back as a coach.

I was always into competitive sports from Wakeboarding to Hip Hop to ballet to Spartan Races to CrossFit. CrossFit is for everyone of all abilities, brings people together, creates a family and the competitive group dynamic brings out the best in everybody. For me personally, CrossFit improves me as a Personal Trainer and also my performance as a Spartan Athlete.

I was drawn to CrossFit because it is a combination of my vast sports background including gymnastics, diving, track and field, triathlon and cycling. After a burn out from cycling, CrossFit brought back what I loved most about sports; the coach-athlete dynamic, a supportive community, and the challenges and joys of learning new skills. My goal as a coach is for others to experience these benefits too!

I was a very active kid, playing soccer, basketball and volleyball. I then discovered CrossFit while at university, and fell in love with this incredible sport and community – movement is just so fun! I have been lucky to learn from talented and generous coaches over the years, and I want to give back in the same way.

Since my childhood I have been involved in the Olympic sports of weightlifting, but my role has evolved from athlete to coach in recent years. In the last 23 years I was able to gain very valuable experience in weightlifting at the competitions, courses as well as during the trainings, which I would like to pass on as a weightlifting coach. My goal: precision work in technique.

Reception

My passion for sports is undeniable. As a child I participated in numerous sports including swimming, karate, tennis, dancing and kickboxing, which somehow lead me to CrossFit. I thrive off positive energy and what one can achieve together. Therefore, I fell in love with CrossFit and its community. Iron sharpens iron, so let’s embrace the suck together!

SCHEDULE

We use the app Zenplanner for bookings. Classes can be reserved 5 days before the class. Cancellationas are possible until an hour before the class, after that cancellations are not possible anymore and credits will expire.

If you are on the waitlist and someone cancels, you will get an email. To join the class you have to confirm your reservation within 2 hours.

HOW TO START

1

The foundation course lasts two weeks and forms the basis for your start with us.

 

It consists of 3 classes that last 90 minutes each week.

The foundation course teaches you all important movements.

 We pay attention to execution and technique to make your movement patterns as efficent and safe as possible and show you how to scale them to your own level of fitness. 

3

The foundation course includes an additional  training week that is free of charge and gives you the possibility to attend our regular classes right away.

Classes take place every Tuesday and Thursday evening (6.00pm - 7.30pm) and Saturday morning (9.30am - 11am).
